Explore our range of kiln dried logs for sale. We stock Alder, Ash, Birch and Oak hardwoods dried to reduce the moisture content to below 20%. These species of hardwood will burn slowly and provide lots of heat. Kiln dried firewood costs more to buy than ‘wet’ or ‘seasoned wood’ but it provides much better value for money.

We are assessed annually to earn this certification and it ensures all of our kiln dried firewood, when tested, will have less than 20% moisture. The less moisture a log has, the hotter and more efficiently it will burn.

Heat logs are made from a combination of compressed waste materials from wood processing (sawdust) or renewable biofuels such as Miscanthus (Elephant) grass. Kindling & Firelighters

Kiln dried kindling is necessary to get your fire started. Begin with firelighters, newspaper or wood wool (available to buy from Trusty Logs) and lay kindling on top. These small pieces of wood will take light easily and start to increase the temperature inside your stove ready for your kiln dried hardwood logs to be added to the fire once it’s going nicely.
