Boot Bags For Logs
Boot bags are ideal for placing into the boot of your car, hence the name 'boot bag'. Kiln dried logs can be quite heavy so the idea behind the boot bag is that they are smaller (about half the size of a barrow bag) and therefore easier to move around when you collect or have your logs delivered.
The boot bags themselves are made of plastic and protect your kiln dried hardwood logs from the weather during transit but to maintain a low moisture content, it is important to observe good practice when storing your logs.
To achieve maximum heat output from your logs and a safe clean burn that is healthy for your chimney lining, always burn kiln dried logs with a Ready To Burn certificate.
Pizza Oven Wood
In the boot bag size, we sell a product called 'Cooking Wood'. This is a boot bag of logs specifically designed to burn in pizza ovens. The logs are cut smaller so they fit more easily into the oven door and are quicker to light.
Pizza needs to cook at a very high temperature. To achieve this we need really high burning quality which we can get from kiln dried logs because they always burn hotter. It's also really important to burn hardwood logs to achieve that really high heat output. So that's what's in the cooking wood boot bag - small cut, kiln dried hardwood logs specifically selected for perfect pizza.
