Oak & Birch Mix Logs

A loose load (sold by the cubic metre) of mixed species logs.  Contains 50% Oak and 50% Birch kiln dried logs. 

Oak is a fantastic hardwood log to burn at home because it outputs loads of heat and burns for a long time. However, it's hard to ignite and not ideal for your fire when it's just getting started. That's why we've created this handy mix. Use the birch logs to get your fire going and once it's hot enough, introduce an Oak log.

It's like changing gear in your car. You wouldn't pull away in fourth, same as you wouldn't want to light a fire starting with Oak - you've got to build the temperature up first with Birch.

Our team hand sort our logs here in Cornwall to create this 50/50 mix of kiln dried logs. The perfect combination of Oak and Birch for the savvy wood-burner owner.

All our logs are Kiln Dried to a moisture content of 18% or less and sold under our Woodsure 'Ready to Burn' Certification which guarantees our logs meet strict UK regulations on firewood.
